Buyohlic 9-Inch Fly Cutter – Single Insert Milling Cutter
The Buyohlic 9-Inch Fly Cutter is designed for large-area facing and surface machining on milling machines. Its large cutting diameter allows the cutter to cover a broad section of the workpiece during each revolution, making it suitable for flattening, leveling and finishing large surfaces.
The cutter features a rigid and balanced single-insert design intended to provide stable cutting action during large-diameter facing operations. The single-insert configuration also makes insert replacement straightforward and economical compared with replacing an entire cutting tool.
This fly cutter uses a TCMT1604 replaceable carbide insert. One insert is supplied with the cutter along with the required Torx screw and star key for installation. Once the insert reaches the end of its usable cutting life, it can be replaced while the main cutter body remains in service.
The tool is available in two common milling-machine shank configurations:
